The 9th SIDS International Conference in Japan
June 1 – 4, 2006
 
This conference will offer the most recent breakthroughs in SIDS and stillbirth research. We also hope to accomplish new levels of understanding for bereaved families. Research and information, inspiration and support, special workshops and artistic works will all be offered in this state-of-the-art conference. Are you ready for an adventure?
Visiting temples and shrines, participating in tea ceremony or zen meditation  are just some of the quieter things you can do while here in Japan. Refreshed from all that peacefulness, you can also experience the excitement of festivals, Japanese drum, the modern port city of Yokohama and the crazy efficient bustle of Tokyo (one of the largest cities in the world but one that remains almost crimeless!). We will offer tours to Kamakura-the big Buddha, and Asakusa Kannon Shrine.

Call for artwork.
What contributions can you make? We will display artwork and performance arts that will reach out and touch others in the community. Our expressions of grief have the power to motivate the researchers to continue and the health care providers to develop programs for the bereaved. We hope this will be a powerful expression of our loss and our hope.
